For Paul Corneau, everything began in Pouilly-sur-Loire, starting with a 5-hectare plot he inherited in 1977. Today, the estate encompasses more than 13 hectares. The integration of Paul's vineyards into Les Vignobles Villebois in 2014 perpetuated the destiny of a Pouilly-Fumé that has become one of the most emblematic of the appellation. Blessed with a precious geological blend of Portlandian and Kimmeridgian — a compact, fine-grained limestone and marl with small oysters — his plots boast an exceptional South-Southeast and West exposure. Bathed in this light, they all overlook the Loire. The river, according to Paul, bestows upon them something of its grace and history.
